i hate this movie it was horrible.

please reply tell me why u hate it.

reply

Yeah it was actually. I am a big Disney fan, but it seems that disney channel never ceases to disappoint me. "Cadet Kelly" was so unrealistic, the story line didn't catch my attention, and Hilary Duff acted horribly in it. She pretty much acted the way she has does in all of her other roles.

actually this movie was very realistic trust me i know. i went to a millitary school in the USA and what you saw in the movie was all real. i think that hilary and all the other actors in that movie did their homework and made the movie very believable.!!!!

reply

I must agree, normally she's a okay actress, but she was acting very....you said it horribly.

reply

I saw that this movie was on while I was staying up late high on caffeine the night before a JROTC field trip, so I chaecked it out.

I hated it because it's unrealistic and disrespectful to the military.

reply

The movie hates u because your not realistic and respectful to the miltiary.

It's true though, Hilary Duff isn't that good an actress and she just comes across as big headed when she's shown at her school in New York. She makes the military school seem terrible but if it was that bad, people wouldn't go there! Christy Carlson Romano does an excellent job as evil Captain Stone though.
Big Goof in it though - at the end when Kelly abseils down the cliff to rescue her dad, she even lands on the ground yet her white trousers (pants) don't get at all dirty!

It seems that most people don't understand Christy Carlson Romano's true feelings about one particular part of her role in this movie. From what I've read in a transcript of one of her interviews, the part of Captain Stone proved not to be entirely fun for her. She didn't like being mean to her good friend Hilary Duff. That's right, Hilary and Christy are good friends, apparently since before "Cadet Kelly" was made. I feel sorry for Christy for having to be mean to Hilary.

reply

Just because she played a villain doesn't mean she didn't do a good job. She's an actress and therefore should be able to play any role. She was getting paid too, so it couldn't have been that bad and she made up with Kelly at the end anyway!
Sometimes the villain is the most fun part to play - so don't feel sorry for her.

reply

True, playing villains can be fun - but not necessarily for everyone. I mean, I could be wrong, but Christy Carlson Romano may not be the type to want to play villains. Or she might have more fun playing good characters than evil ones, I don't know.

Anyway, on Nov. 25, 2005, I went to see Christy live in concert. After the concert, I spoke to her, and it turns out that despite the relationship between her and Hilary, it wasn't all that bad, though I may not have made it clear to her which part of her role I was referring to. You see, my sympathy for her isn't so much for the role in general, it's for the starting relationship between her and Hilary, aside from how it all turned out.

Also, I have my reasons for my sympathy for Christy. Here they are:

1. I think she and Hilary deserve better.

2. I don't want to encourage any further adversary relationships between them.

3. I don't want to encourage Christy to play more villains, nor do I want to encourage her to play more characters who are constantly mean yet seemingly unprovoked, as I find her annoying in such roles. I should add that just as she didn't like being mean to Hilary, I didn't like to see her being mean to Hilary.

For the record, I like Christy in most of the stuff in which I've seen her. So far, "Cadet Kelly" is the only exception.

reply

I also find that she is an exellent actress. I can't wait to see what other type of roles she will take. Besides playing the bad guy isn't so bad. To get my guys motivated I had to go Sobel on them. It was a lot of fun!

reply

I don't really view her character as a villian, though. She was what a soldier should be. Strong, a leader, stern... You can't protect the country when you're a bubble-head.. :-/ (Not to say she is at war or is a real soldier or anything, but if she's in a military school and is training for it... Hmm..)

reply

True, Christy Carlson Romano is a good actress. I like her in "Even Stevens," "Kim Possible," and "Campus Confidential." Just not "Cadet Kelly."

This movie really sucks, badly. The only good in this was Christy Carlson Romano. (Hottie!) I went to military school, was in JROTC in High School, Joined when I was 17. The way that they the exicute their routines was saddly off. Plus only Airborne blouses their boots, or the color guard. Plus use the real things, not plastic. I wasn't one on the Armed Drill Team, but I got my fair share of cuts spinning the M-1903 A3s. The worest was the UDT part. You don't use any items. Sorry but this movie was really lame. It still hurts thinking back when I saw this when I was 16ish.

reply

i hate this movie because hilary duff is in it.she is just so preppy.I CAN"T STAND IT

reply

I always thought hilary wasn't that good of an actrees and this movie proves it. It sucked had a lame tagline and I truly think that Kelly din't change in the end

reply

I thought this film was brilliant. The acting was excellent, the storyline was a rather good one. For those who are saying that the film makes Military life look rough - utter crap. The film is showing that KELLY thinks Military Life is rough, Not that it is rough.

reply

The film was stupid because if Hilary Duff didnt want to go to millitary school then she could have just got a bus to a normal school. it was stupid her mum would force her to go some place she hated like that.

reply

this movie sucked. all the acting sucked. christy carlson romano was a terrible villian and she was by far the worst actor in this movie. she tried acting like a hard ass and failed miserably.

reply

its a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MOVIE! im sorry...

reply

I agree with what you said about Christy's acting. In my opinion, the only thing she's any good at when it comes to playing villains (or anything even remotely resembling them, for that matter) is being like a thumbtack placed on someone's chair, with the sharp end facing upward - an annoying pain in the butt. Of all the characters she's played, Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone is absolutely the worst.

Even though Christy is one of my favorite actresses, I don't view her as particularly suitable for the part of such a mean character.

And then there's my opinion of her and Hilary being cast in an adversary relationship - it's unnecessary, it's stupid, and it's disgraceful to the movie business!

I think it's time Hilary and Christy did another movie together, preferably one where their characters are equals and are nice to each other.
