Anybody seen it at the movie theater and what did you think at that time?

I remember when I saw it I thought there was something wrong with the projector showing the movie, because I didn’t know that the look of the film was intended to be this way. The picture looked so soft and almost like webcam-like quality, nothing close to what they shoot movies on digital nowdays. I remember as I was watching the movie and still wondering what is wrong with the picture, then suddenly the picture became very clear and I thought to myself, oh great, finally they fixed the projector. And then the movie was over! Lol. I still enjoyed this flick though.

I thought the exact same thing. And since I saw it on opening weekend it was nearly sold out so we wound up sitting in the second row which made it even softer-looking. Nevertheless, the story itself was so fantastic that it made up for the bad seats and everything else. It was the first time I'd ever seen "fast" zombies and was immediately a fan.

Thank you for your responses guys. I still watch this movie from time to time whenever I need to be in the mood for the fast zombies. I think it’s considered to be like the first successful zombie that introduced fast sprinting zombies. At the time I thought it was a stupid idea, but now it grew on me more and I enjoy it more. On a side note, I thought “ World War Z” was not a bad flick too. Hopefully someday the sequel will see the day of the light as well. And for now, take care of yourself and your zombies! 🧟‍♀️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟

I saw it at the theater when it opened. I didn't think anything of the way it looked. Leading up to the movie there was a lot of talk about how it was shot entirely with digital cameras.

Not me. First time I saw it was on HBO. Funny thing was I turned it on by accident.
