Criminally Overrated Movie
All this movie is is a bunch of pathetic attempts at quirky acting combined with nonstop buildup to a very disappointing climax.

shareThe guy had 2 decent movies (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable), then he became an arrogant prick who thought he was the "next Spielberg" and it's been very rewarding watching him become Hollywood's biggest joke.
sharehuh. I guess not everyone on Earth is exactly the same. I really enjoy shaymalan's productions, AND really love all Nolan's films too. Who would have guessed that is possible? I hate hate hate green beans though.

His first 2 were great. Was Signs his 3rd? It's like he totally failed to get Lovecraft. Movie be like:
Signs: What you are about to see is the most incredibly scary disturbing ever.
Audience: Ooh yes?
Signs: Seriously, this will scare you AND disturb you.
Audience: That's what we're here for!
Signs: Don't you get it? This is incredibly scary and disturbing. you WILL be scared AND disturbed!
Audience: YES YES ! SHOW US!!!
Signs: Don't say we didn't warn you...
Audience braces themselves as... an out-of-focus shot of what is clearly a guy in a crappy rubber alien suit appears on screen in a freeze-frame.
Signs: YOU ARE NOW MENTALLY SCARRED FOR LIFE. I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY.
Audience: Go FU, lame-ass.
Signs was nothing but nonstop build up to a big epic climax that never really happened. The big twist was: hit them with baseball bats and water kills them.
