A new addition to the list of worst films I've ever seen

Only just saw this film for the first time today in all its entirety and I can't believe how weirdly bad it is. For a kickoff, the story is like it was conceived by a stoned teenager giving his own version of a Stephen King novel, while trying to amuse his friends. I mean humans pooping out aliens while enduring major flatulence, an alien disguising himself as a retarded kid who likes Scooby Doo, the same kid mispronouncing the evil alien's name as "Mr Gay". I haven't read the book so I don't know how much is from King and how much isn't, but if it all is then it's like King is taking the piss out of himself. How that can have been written as anything other than a parody or comedy is anyone's guess.

The film is littered with bad acting, poor dialogue, and so many WTF moments, other than those above. Even the very little things like the mother of the retarded kid putting her arms in the air in his signature pose, or the scene during the post credits, were stupid. And it felt like it hardly explained anything about the aliens or Duddits.

Given the competency of the director, writer, King, and the good cast, this must be one of the worst results of something being brought to the big screen for all the talent involved.
