I'm watching Cookies for Santa and Reba was going on and on about how great everything was when Cheyenne came into her world...Kyra was standing right there. She made a few snarky comments (who can blame her) and Reba kept commenting how great Christmas's were when Cheyenne was a baby.

WTF man, that's just cruel.

You can call me 'Mayor Chapstick.'

The situation they created in realty had other alternatives. But the show was trying to make a point. There are times when your kids screw up extremely bad. And yes if you keep bailing them out they do not learn the consequences of their actions.

What the show was trying to say is Cheyenne's actions though she thought it was small. Would have a catastrophic consequence on the rest of her life. They then tried to make the point that sometimes you have to make a large sacrifice for the good of your children.

Ask any parent that has gone in debt to bail their kids out of jail.

just randomly switching channels and caught this episode again and it still pisses me off to no end...lol Kira really did get passed over all the time during this show... and I'm sorry Cheyenne knew what would happen failing and didn't care because she knew her mom would always bail her out... she should have been made to then stay home and take care of her child for her poor choices and do night classes not screw over her sister again to get what she wants..... she never took responsibility for it being her fault that she failed just mom give me money yay we get Kiras room now .....

Yes, exactly. I hated that episode. For once, Reba could have taught Cheyenne that there are consequences for your actions. And it wouldn't even have necessarily meant giving up college. For one thing, I thought Van was also a student, so unless that school has some serious illegal sexist policies, if he hadn't been skipping his classes, Elizabeth's daycare should have been fine. But, barring that, I've never been to a college that didn't have night classes. Cheyenne could have gone at night while Van took care of Elizabeth, or vice versa. Or, they could have gotten jobs to pay for daycare. What a concept. Or, maybe if you're sleeping through your classtime, you don't really need to be going to college.
