just watching Dog Soldiers haven't seen it in a year or so and couldn't help to realize how similar the intro to the movie is to Bad Moon (another great werewolf movie yet critics seem to HATE it...anyways) Just an observation. I love Dog Soldiers full of gore, laughs and good acting but I don't see why so many people think its the best werewolf movie EVER.

Bad Moon just came out on bluray and looks excellent. scream factory, the company who released bad moon also put out a collectors edition of dog soldiers on bluray a year back or so. lets just say that dogs pic quality is just as good as a vhs. i do not understand how this is a collectors edition but bad moon is not. And how a film shot in 2001 looks worse in hd than one shot in 1995. If all they had was crap quality to work w, why did they even bother to release the film and have the nerve to call it a collectors edition when there was a previous bluray and dvd release which apparently looks better.(NM$$$) there are just as much features on bad moon also, plus a new directors cut and alternate unrated opening sequence, yet bad moon is just a standard bluray release.
sometimes scream factory confuses and infuriates the hell outta me and they really f'd up the dog soldiers bluray bad!
But the upcoming fall releases from scream i dnt think anyone can deny, esp the upcoming cronenbergs, de palmas, the thing, & child's play. Lets just hope none of the balls are dropped. With the recent releases of Return of living dead, invasion of body snatchers, & bad moon they seem to be on a roll.
