Easy to miss some of the humor

One thing I have noticed about Law and Order: CI is that because there isn't a lot of humor used in the episodes it is easy to miss it when it is used.

In "Rock Star" S8ep2 one of the dippy would-be-celebrities celebrities explains to Detective Nichols who she believes is responsible for the murders.

"Real estate developers."

"Real estate developers? Why would real estate developers be involved?"

"I've been thinking about that. Real estate developers want the crime rate to go up so property values will go down, they can buy it cheap and they can put up condoms."

I love the humor in LOCI! And there's lots of it but it's throwaway and you have to pay attention. One of my favorites is from Betrayed:

Eames: Guess he needed help romping around with teen age hustlers.
Rodgers: oh, who doesn't?

She always got the best lines!

I'm watching season 1 and there is actually a lot of it. One thing I love about the Law & Order franchise is that while the episodes are serious in nature, there some funny lines here and there as well. Goren and Eames are great together.

Deakins often seems to come across with some dark-humored quips.
