She was a middle schooler, but she honestly looked like she was 16/17 and a junior in high school!

Especially in the 2nd season!

Agreed. Hilary Duff looked older than Lizzie`s age in the last seasons of the show.

Hilary Duff (born in 1987) was always a year older than the character she played; "Lizzie" was supposed to be 13 in season one, but Duff would have been 14 at the time.
