Oh my God, how PHYSICALLY STRONG is Jet Li's character in this?

To some extent, albeit with a little more tension and even visible injuries at some points, this film almost took the "Steven Seagal" approach to the levels of strength and physical toughness of Jet Li's character.

I mean, he is capable of outrunning tons of guys with machine gun fire, at one point disappear so quickly that about a dozen or so men don't notice, throw a grenade away just second before it exploded, take on dozens of guys with his martial arts technique and at one point, especially...

... in a police station, he single handedly took on 20+ opponents that are black belt martial arts experts, like seriously, how did he manage it so well? And are we to take it that he was like number 1 in martial arts training and whatnot, notice also, he never once fired a gun in this movie despite BRINGING one?

What do you think, why and how come he was THIS strong here and how plausible is it even within this movie's world?

So, you're new to films in general?

New to "films in general", lol, I've been watching films for over 25 years and own hundreds of them on video, DVD, BLU-RAY and Amazon Prime.

But even for action movies in general, not to mention the fact that this movie is more violent than some and even features such gritty topics as trafficking and forced prostitution and whatnot, his character was way too strong at times, the black belt confrontation scene in particular stood up.

the best explanation we can give you is what they said in the movie. they stated he was highly trained and had no social life, wife or children and he was very much dedicated to his work and training. he was top in all of his combative classes.

i'm assuming thats why he was the one chosen to go to paris to help in the first place.
