This movie is so unrealistic, after watching this movie, things that I have learnt.

1. The whole French police force is corrupted.
2. All French police officers are trained in martial arts, to arrest a criminal they will fight hand to hand combat rather than using a gun.
3. French police officers conduct their operations like gangsters, and they would spray bullets with uzis at a hotel and kill innocent people that got into their way.
4. Why would Jet Li bother freezing his gun to pass through airport security, if he can obtain one from his contact?
5. There is karate class at the police station.
6. When French or Chinese talk to their own people, they will speak English.
7. Chinese people don't know who Santa Clause is.
8. mahjong can be played alone.

lol, yeah, just saw it. From the start I was just like, what is going on here? Very little about this movie makes the slightest bit of sense. If the opening scene was just a Chinese cop meeting French cops, why the hell was it so covert? Wouldn't they meet at the station? Why does Jet Li not mention the murder of some random Chinese dude in the kitchen if he thought they were all above board cops? He didn't bat an eyelid. What the hell was Bridget Fonda supposed to be doing in the hotel room that she's apologizing for not doing. Seriously, what gives with that whole opening segment? Was the whole fake sting just set up to humor Jet Li? And what for if they intended to kill him and erase all the tapes anyway? Why did they even bother recording it in the first place. What was the plan?

Why did all the guys studying martial arts in the police station know immediately to attack Jet Li's character? Was he wearing an invisible sign that said I am the bad guy come and get me?

4. Je ne sais pas.
5. ... and your point is?
6. ... for us English speakers.
7. Why would they?
8. It's possible, especially if you're schizoid.

3 and 6 were the big ones for me, made no sense at all.
Let's also forget the fact that one injured guy pretty much took over a whole police squad... Criminals in China must be amazing if they need that kind of police officer to catch them.
