this actually is a great film... I think so!

I absolutely love this film, but I can't stand when people tell me that they won't watch it because it got shelved for a year before they finished it ... so what? I think all and all, it's an emotional story and I don't know any guy who would not go off like that if something happened to his wife... That was the great thing about this film, Vin Diesel's character AKA Sean Vetter is so believable that it grabs you and you really feel for him. I went and saw this movie when it was released in the Theater and I remember walking out despite the review I read in the paper that morning, thinking, you know what, no matter who judges or rates a film, I'll make my decision when I see it on how good it is. I give this a 7.5 out of 10, it is in my top 15 fav. movies of all time. And the scene when he is lying in the hospital bed and Larenz Tate tells him his wife is dead, you really do feel him you feel how he feels and I've always said that is important for a film's success.

It is a great film and one of Diesel's best performances.

Yeah, the movie is memorable to say the least as i just finished re-watching it (on Feb 18th 2015. before this the last time i re-watched it was April 12th 2012) and it held steady since my last viewing.

in fact, it's in my Top 5 movies of 2003 which are...

1.Open Range - 10/10 (in my Top 4 Westerns ever)
2.The Last Samurai
3.A Man Apart - 8/10
-.The Matrix Reloaded
-.Terminator 3

for measure... only about 113 movies (give or take) have managed to get a solid 8/10 or higher out of the 1,850+ total movies i have seen and there is five of them above.

Vin Diesel's most memorable movies...

1.Find Me Guilty (2006) - 8/10
-.A Man Apart (2003)
3.Fast & Furious (series) - 7/10 (at least for the 1st/4th/5th movies)

p.s. i excluded Saving Private Ryan (1998) since that's more of a Tom Hanks movie.

It's just the usual Hollywood take on the cocaine trade. An OK action flick, but, as usual, reality was not a part of it. Obviously, made for the sensibilities of the average American adolescent. Not a film for those with a critical eye; the fallacies just being far too large, and obvious, to ignore.
