Marie is so annoying, anyone agree?

She seemed like a flaky, grasping sort of person to me and her personality didn't fit with Jason's at all.

What sort of person would drop in on their married-with-kids ex-boyfriend with an assassin she's just met in tow? A *beep* person, that's what, with no respect for the people in her life, hence the lack thereof.

She also seemed dumb, who'd stick around with an assassin amnesiac? Unless of course their life is so devoid of interest, attention and people they love that it actually seems like a better option. I guess that's the case for her.

In conclusion, she's a friendless, flaky, attention-seeking, use-and-abuse type idiot with the dullest life on the planet.

YES! The actress is so bad. She was included only because she was the biggest star in Germany at the time, and the movie needed a PR gimmick to be marketable in Germany.

reply

YES ! And that's why there's the iconic scene in the Chinese Laundry because it too was a needed PR gimmick for the film to be marketable in China.

No, I don't agree. She is actually one of my favorite characters in this franchise. The fact she and Bourne are too different only makes this couple more unique

reply

I agree. It's actually because of Marie that I could hardly get through this movie. I know that sounds like a dumb reason to stop watching a movie over one character, but I had a feeling she would be in the whole movie and I had a hard time tolerating her. And I didn't see the chemistry between her and Matt Damon. If he had to have a female partner through this, it should have been like an equal.

reply

How dare you. She was the love of my life.

reply

Greta ! You're not really serious about movies sucking are you ?

reply

Most movies suck.

reply

Goochy goochy goo !

All movies now suck.

I thought the actress was fine and the character made sense. Attractive in an approachable way but thankfully not a beauty queen. She seemed to be a free spirited, adventurous gypsy type more so than a "flaky user''. While ultimately not the wisest decision, it seemed in line with her character to be intrigued by Bourne's predicament.

reply

Nope, I liked her.
