Why is this out of print on Blu-ray?

This movie was a pretty big hit when it was new. Hard to believe it would be OOP already...

Its my understanding that it has never been released on blu-ray. Officially. There is some bootleg.

Didn't open the link, probably the Spanish bootleg release. According to blu-ray.com database there isn't any other release available and I believe their database is up to date. This is pretty requested title.

I'm pretty sure this film would have gotten the 'gold' start 4k Blu-ray treatment, if there was a mother/daughter relationship compared to the depicted mother/son relationship in the film.

I have it just on DVD and yeah, I'm surprised this never received the Blu Ray treatment??
