Sarah Altman typical teenager ?

I got to ask is Sarah Altman a typical teenager she seemed like a spoiled, rotten, annoying brat. I know one thing at the age of 12 if I would of acted or said half the things she did to her mom I would of eaten some teeth; at 30 I still knew better than to talk to my mom.

I do see alot of teenagers act, talk and carry on like that is that how the world has become.

reply

Sarah has been described as a tomboy and her parents divorced recently. This might have influenced her character.

reply

I will say this my parents were separated before I was even born and I still don't know who my dad is and I never grow up to be bitter, angry, or a foul mouth. I have decided to use the intelligence I was born with in my head.

reply

Because, you know, everyone lived exactly the same life as you. Also it is a film, do some research into "suspension of disbelief" if it still is so hard to grasp.

reply

Yeah...she was pretty rude.

And I curse in front of my mom sometimes, never say *beep* though, but I promise if someone had broken into our house...she wouldn't care what I said.

Kinda wish Dark Knight Rises was coming out tomorrow.

reply

It's Kirsten Stewart.

It's the only *beep* character she can play.

-[ Why does modern horror movie suck?]-

reply

I'm guessing that's an f-bomb that got beeped, funny enough I can't do that in front of my mom either lol...as I've gotten older even "shoot" is okay, but never the f-word or worse, and I'm 27!

When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?

reply

Never liked the girl in this. It was like transplanting Edward Furlong in T2 character into this film. Just plain annoying cocky brat

reply

Weird as she does come across as that annoying brat that was in T2. I would add McCaully Kulkin to that as well.

reply

Same here.. but when I am alone... f bombs all day long.

So...at 30, you still don't know that there's no such thing as "would of"? Goodness.

Anyway, she didn't seem spoiled, rotten or annoying to me. She was not a typical daughter, that's for sure. She was a little tomboyish. Also, what gave you the impression that she was spoiled? She "wanted" the room with the panic room, and she didn't even end up getting it. She wanted more Coke, but when her mom told her enough, she immediately stopped. Of course, her mom poured her more Coke after realizing her daughter deserves a little break, as she's going through enough already, having to witness her parents divorce and having to move to a new place. During their pizza dinner, when her mom expressed "I should've made something special as it's our first night here," she was nice enough to take some of the pressure off her mom and say, "I like pizza."

Also, the "Say 'fk'." -- "Mom, 'get the fk out of my house'." line was more for comedic purposes. I personally thought Jodie Foster's delivery was hilarious. It wasn't like she was addressing 'fk' to her mom, so I don't get what you're complaining about. Apart from the 'fk', I don't recall her saying anything horrible or rotten or whatever.

OP grew up with shiess, dictator parents. Of course he's going to have a problem with a mom and daughter connecting via expressing their frustrations through swearing.... Sincerity apparantly is wrong and people who are sincere should feel bad for being sincere... At least that's what I think OP is saying.

Plus he probably just hates her because he was rejected by some girl who looks Kirsten Stewart or something

reply

So what word is shiess ? I found the word shies meaning:

adjective 1. bashful; retiring. 2. easily frightened away; timid. 3. suspicious; distrustful: I am a bit shy of that sort of person.

I grew up with a single mom, which she did the best job she could do. I was taught to use my brain and the intelligence I was born with.

You are correct I have been rejected by many women but I am glad because they did not hold to my standards or moral. I am looking for someone who can speak with out cussing, cutting up or putting people down. A person that can convey or communicate in such away to hold a stimulating intelligent conversation.

I am not an English major I am still learning and grasping the concept of when to use which word or words when and where, in a setence structure. Would of so thr cottecrt thing to say is would have. Out of my entire sentence you took the time to focuse on one thing. Her attitude left and or leaves a lot to be desired I did not grow up in a family environment or structure like that. I was taught to use my brain and the intelligence I was born with.

She was portrayed by Kristen Stewart. That's why she was so annoying!

I didn't see anything wrong with Sarah's behavior, aside from riding around on a scooter when they were seeing the house.

As for the "say f-ck" line that some people take issue with, seriously? They were trying to scare off burglars. It's not like they were at a fancy tea party or something.
