Am I the only one who thought it was little funny?

I thought overall the movie was very beautiful and moving but some of the Schadenfruede aspects made some scenes seem comical.

For example, the scene where Huppert stuffs the glass into her student's pockets. I was laughing and saying "This is genius,"

I didn't think the movie was disturbing, maybe I'm jaded, however I was moved by the way Huppert's character is portrayed.

Yes I thought it was a rip roaring barrel of laughs, that's for sure...particularly the part where she vomits after he's laid on top of her with his d**k down her throat. I'm sure there's plenty of women out there who felt like vomiting after a guy has stuck his c**k in her mouth...yippy yi yay ya'll...now you know how most women really feel about it and it's there in all it's glory for all to see!

A lot of alliteration from anxious anchors placed in powerful posts!

One funny line was the mother's. At the first recital, before the meal. After she's been shown all the stuff by the host she comes back and goes "I had to sing for my supper." I laughed out loud at that.

I thought it was funny in a shocking "wtf" way...

Yes. There is obviously a lot of dark humor here.

Yeah I thought this movie was hilarious I found myself laughing quite a bit a very enjoyable film.

It was the mother who made it funny. And i think many of the scenes between Erika and Walter were supposed to be blackly humorous. And yeah i laughed when the mother got put in the room the second time and she said "this is unbelievable".

Maybe it's been mentioned already, but in an interview Haneke clearly said that some scenes were intended to be humorous.

I laughed when the mother got thrown into the room. how sad throwing her that hard, but

No one has mentioned the scene in the drive-in movie where she gets busted peeping at the couple in the car. This was the only really hilarious moment in the film, though there were a lot of other places where I found myself laughing rather nervously.
