Whats your favourite?
I wasn't particularly a fan of this movie, but thought Devils Rejects was great. So its the Devils Rejects for me.
I started this same thread on the Devils Rejects board n the majority went for The Devils Rejects. But a poster happened to mention that they thought if the same thread was put on here then House of 1000 Corpses would get the majority vote.
Just thought i'd put it to the test.

House of 1000 Corpses suffers from a lot of problems but considering it was Zombie's first film I guess not everything works out perfectly, Devil's rejects felt better done and more straight.

i felt completely opposite of everyone.
maybe partially because of knowing the public opinion of both films before watching either.
i expected HoaTC to be bad and Devil's Rejects to be good.
instead i thought HoaTC was way underrated and better than alot of horror movies i've seen.
just got done watching TDR and i thought it was quite boring and alot more typical. i am puzzled why people like it so much. felt like it was a waste of an hour and 44 minutes.
I differed from you slightly corpus, but had a similar problem.
I had been told that HoaTC was great and a must see for horror fans, so i was very excited to see it. However after seeing it i felt extremely disappointed as i thought it was pretty poor, and the ending just seemed to descend into nonsense.
However, i had heard very little about TDR and wasnt expecting much from it, given how poor i felt HoaTC was. I decided to watch it anyway though and was pleasantly surprised as i thought it was pretty good and a big improvement from HoaTC.
I suppose its all a matter of opinion though.

I enjoyed both though I was disappointed with HoaTC so I liked Devils Rejects more.

I have to go with House of 1000 corpses, even though I am with the minority. I thought ending of Devils Rejects was kind of lame. And this has the guy from The Office. I find Sid Haig annoying in both of them. But overall they are both pretty good and worth seeing.
sharethe devils rejects for me. i love House of 1000 corpses but the dr satan stuff left me scratching my head for the most part. glad they dropped it for TDR, although technically its more spin off than sequel so they never had to explain it away!

shareI ageree with you, but I can see where he could be annoying. As phenomenal as I think he was in TDR and HoaTC, he was annoying in Halloween. And he's a good actor, but there's a quality of his voice than can be grating out of context.

Corpses all the way. Devils Rejects could have been much better, I still dont understand the amount of the love it receives. It was more a revenge film than horror. House of 1000 Corpses had everything, some borrowed but nobody before put it all together as well as this. There are plenty of horror movies out there that are extremely well made with big scares and may be technically better but I cant think of a more enjoyable, free flowing one than this.
