in regards to the hume run records...feedback please!!

this film is as pretty darn close to the way it was when mantle and maris slugged it out to go after the babes home run record.as a child of the 70's i used to hit yankee stadium with season tix when they one there world series in the 70's.(one of the greatest yankee teams of all time)

anyway heres my piont,after watching this movie and going through the whole asteric thing being endorsed buy the commisioner wich was overturned making maris the single season home run record champ im guessing almost 30+ years before mguire broke it a few years back,then sosa and now bonds

its all out in the open about the rampant steriod use in major league baseball,guys like bonds and sosa in there early years hit 20-25 hrs per season and hit for avg.,mcguire was always a powerhouse but was always on the juice.theres no doubt at least in my mind that these guys were all juiced up on performance enhanced drugs to achieve muscle mass for power hitting,guys that used to hit 10 home runs a year were magically hitting 25-45 hr's per season not to mention the rinky dink parks especially in san francisco,expansion with low standards in pitching,the raising of the mound that all of this equates to the fact that roger maris and hank aron should both have there home run records restored.

for christ sakes these guys are eatin' green eggs n ham to help them crank out some homers not jabbing themselves in the ass with anabolic steriods or having there trainer do it for them.

also billy chrystal made a great movie about men who played the game we love..not a bunch of overpriced sissies who cant play if they get a hangnail or stub there toe!!!also maris must of weighed 175 soaking wet..big achievment for a guy who used green eggs for a performance enhancing product..

MARIS RECORD AS WELL AS HANK ARONS RECORDS STAND AT LEAST IN MY BOOK.WHY CANT MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WAKE UP AND ACCEPT THIS DISGRACEFUL PERIOD AND MOVE ON.AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WOULD HAVE A CLEAN SLATE AGAIN INSTEAD OF SWEEPING IT UNDER THE CARPET AND PRETENDING IT DIDNT HAPPEN.

I don't think MLB could ever formally erase Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa's seasons, where they passed Maris's 61 homeruns. When Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa hit their homeruns, the games were played, the runs counted, and teams won or lost games etc. To erase those homeruns totally would be impossible; the homeruns happened.

That said -- the HR totals by Bonds, McGwire, & Sosa have been informally stricken by fans. Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa haven't been elected to the Baseball HOF. In addition, fans made a big deal when Ryan Howard & Giancarlo Stanton got close to 61 HR because they knew that no clean player has reached the figure since Maris. In the eyes of many fans, Maris still holds the record un-officially
