I find it funny Rick didn't bother to change his appearance

He's wanting to hideout, start a new life with a new name, yet he keeps the exact same look he had from his picture in the paper of him getting out of prison. I mean grow a beard, shave your head, get glasses, do something to try and make yourself look different if you don't want to ever be found or have someone recognize you.

How about being low level and not become a awarded business man. Living in such a small town and playing humble would be also fine. Instead he even welcomed the press.

Yeah, but this movie came out right as the internet was blowing up. Many still had the mentality of a non-internet age where one could hide out in a small town where no one would ever see or hear of them.
