I just think the writers thought they were genuises or something, when really they are just trying to be like Snatch and Lock Stock. It makes me very angry.

Hey you know whats funny. I always thought that dogs..um..laid eggs. And I learned something today.

The movie is based off of a book that is a spoof on crime fiction genre. A few details were changed/edited out, but basically that's where it's from. And if you read Dave Barry's other book, Tricky Business, you'd see that there's actually a trend with ensemble casts in his books.
