How did you first hear about this movie?

There has been threads like "How did you first learn about the Holocaust?" and "How did you first learn about Anne Frank?",why not start a thread about this movie?ok,here's my story.

I was looking up Anne Frank movies on Amazon.com and found this movie,but I didn't read the reviews or anything so I forgot about it for a while.But,after a few months,I looked up the Melissa Muller biography and clicked the "look inside" feature and saw a black sticker on it that said "Now an ABC world premiere movie",so I found that same movie and this time Iread the reviews on how good the movie was and how accurate it was.So,I asked my dad to download the movie but he couldn't find it,so i asked him to order it but he forgot about it and i forgot about it as well.Then,I went back to it and i told my dad about it(again)and i asked him(again)to order it,but this time,he did it.I got the movie a few days before Thanksgiving and I asked my mom if i could watch it tonight since it was my first night that i had it and could watch it.My sister objected,saying "No.It's depressing!" and "It's about the Holocaust",my sister is the type that likes happy movies and pretty much happy movies only.But my mom wanted to watch it,but Kristin complained about it(again).But then,I knew my older sister and her boyfriend were coming over,so I called them that night,they both agreed to my sister's displeasure,and we watched it that night.My mom fell asleep(as usual,she falls asleep at pretty much EVERY movie we watch with her),a few minutes after the arrest scene,my older sister and the other sister who did not want to watch this movie dissapeared.It was only Me and my sister's boyfriend who watched the whole movie.Now this movie is one of my favorites!

Well, I was 12 years old and I think I remember reading about the film in the paper or something, and it was going to be shown on channel 4 and I was determined to record it.

I had been reading Anne Frank's diary in tutor at school and so I couldn't wait to see the story on the screen. When I was younger though, I don't think I really understood what was happening all around Anne Frank, like the Nazis and the concentration camps. It wasn't until I got older and I read more WW2 stories and watched more WW2 movies that I understood a lot more.
But yeah, just like annefrankfan284 said, this movie will always be one of my favourites too!

I was in 8th grade when I had heard it was going to be on ABC, I had read the Diary when I was in 7th grade, and already knew a little about what was going on. I had my dad tape it, and I watched it as well.

The poor tape is so worn out from me watching it so much, so I had to get it on DVD, which I watch a lot.

Saw a commercial for it and I watched it. It hasn't been on tv since that I'm aware of, glad I taped it. It's been awhile since I've watched it, I've been meaning to watch it again for some time now.

I knew about the movie cause I had loved reading about the holocaust (that sounds so sick). I had seen ads for the movie. So I watched it and loved it. I had started to read the diary for the first time that year during Christmas Break, I had never had it on Reading Lists so my aunt bought it for me to read. I loved the book and this movie especially.

I was reading the TV programm and asked my mother who Anne Frank was. I remember it was on a thursday this movie aired on TV!

i had really gotten interested in ANne so i looked up ANne Frank here on imdb and I found ANne Frank: The Whole Story so i watched the trailer and fell in love so i begged my mom for it for my last birthday (I'VE WATCHED IT THREE AND A HALLF TIMES)

Well, in my Infant (lower elementary) school, when I was four years old for Remembrance Day, in assembly, we were taught the basics about Anne Frank (i.e she went into hiding, wrote a diary, got caught, she died in the war) and I thought the story was very interesting. So, I got her diary for my birthday, and collected about four other versions, but just started reading it now, and I am 13.
Anyhoo, it was Bonfire Night 2001 and I was going round to my cousin's house to watch fireworks and I was looking before I went and on the Sky Movies channels and there read: Anne Frank and I was like "Oh, Anne Frank, can you tape it fore me?" So my dad taped it for me and it was two parts and I dint know until I watched the first part, so I had to wait for it to come on again. I was only seven and I was watching concentration camp scences! I didn't understand it though, and I didn't understand why she was having her hair cropped off.

But now that I understand it, I CAN NOT watch the camp scenes. The other day, I watched Anne Frank on YouTube, but had to jump from Part 23 "The Arrest" to Part 29, where Otto came back from the war.

I know, strange!

I was in the 6th grade at time, and was asked to do a report. We would then have to present it to the class. The teacher put all us kids names in a black hat, and randomly chose who we would be doing our report on. I got Anne Frank. I didn't even know who the girl was at the time. So, when i got home, i had to search information on her, and type up my paper. I did my report, then handed it in to the teacher, then presented it. I really liked what i read about Anne Frank, and i grew to liking her, that in my spare time i would actually sit for about 2 hours reading information on Anne. I then asked a librarian if she had the book "The Diary Of Anne Frank" and she said yes. I borrowed it and read it within a week. I was also browing on netflix at one point on Anne Frank movies, or something, and came across this one here. We rented it, and I loved it!

I've known a little about the Holocaust for about 2 to 3 years but recently we learne about it in class and I think it's great and something anyone interested in history should watch
