Hugh Grant or Colin Firth?
Who rules? I think Hugh Grant is cuter, Colin is more charismatic. Who would I like to date? It's a toss up...

shareColin Firth hands down. He's excruciatingly handsome
shareMmm, Colin Firth. You just want to make him smile... and when he does, you get this warm feeling and can't help smiling yourself. This close from a fangirl squeal I am...

Good acting, plot and dialogue, is that really too much to ask?
Hugh Grant is sexy, yes, and looks good, yes, but for god's sake Colin Firth just has that special something. They both have that very sexy British accent and both look just gorgeous, but Colin Firth looks more like the gentleman and acts and talks like the gentleman. And he is incredibly handsome!! And this is the most important point: He is Mr. Darcy!!
So it's Colin Firth for me.
I would have picked Colin. Not just for how he looked, but how he acted toward her at the end. He ended up falling for her personality and I would trust him ultimately at the end. Have known Hugh Grant types, (his character In this movie) you wouldn't want to marry a "type" like that/
shareColin Firth
shareSpeaking as a male who likes this movie a lot, I find Colin Firth too severe and unsmiling, whereas Hugh Grant has a friendly, smiling sort of face and has a good line in humour too.
shareOld question... my reply is always COLIN :-D
shareColin hands down. Loved him since I saw him in Pride and Prejudice.
shareThe characters or actors? Am I missing something? That Colin guy was BORING. Or DULL as they say in the story. I bought into the love story with that creep Hugh Grant more than to the pap scenes with Colin Firth, whoever that is.
shareColin Firth obviously! He's Darcy (L)
I Love Edward Cullen <3

COLIN FIRTH, by a long shot. He doesn't need dialogue with those sexy, hungry eyes. He's PERFECT. Please wrap me in your overcoat, COLIN.

What..I have to choose?
Lol.
Love them both. But I'll choose Colin.
A sphincter says what?
Well, Colin (as much as I like him) is not exactly THE REASON why the books were written... And I know all about the books and the interview with Helen Fielding.
She just said that the part of Mark Darcy was written with Colin's portrayal of Mr. Darcy in mind (which was in everybody's mind at the time)
