I love movies, and I especially love comedy. I love a good smart comedy like The Birdcage as much as I love Dumb and Dumber. My favorite movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. But this movie...

The first time I saw it, my friend invited me over to watch it. I had to sit there and pretend to laugh. It was like... painful. I felt I had to laugh at it because my friend thought it was so funny. I couldn't just walk out and say "This sucks, man."

So my opinion of this movie may just stem from a painful first experience. Maybe it's funny when you watch it with like six of your buddies.

But I can't believe the dude's making a sequel... guess he has a good fan base. ::Shrug::

This is quite possibly, the worst movie I've ever seen; That's all categories, not just comedy. Considering it was created to be bad on purpose, I guess they accomplished their goal. To date, it is the only movie that I'd give a .5/10 for a rating -- it gets the .5 soley for existing.

Man! There's only one movie funnier than this and that is "freaked" (just remembering it makes me laugh), really I think u got no sense of humor so without offending: I hope u die and go to hell and Satan sticks a needle in your eye!!!

Wow. I love this movie too but damn that's a passionate defense!

Friend showed it to me on tape, soon afterwards I had it on DVD. I find it hilarious the original poster doesn't. That's cool, he simply stated that he did not like it. He didn't call anyone stupid for liking it, he just didn't

For instance, I absolute hate that Billy Connelly film 'The Man who sued God', and I mean HATE it, but just because someone liked it doesn't make them or myself an idiot, it's all about opinions

This is really just a reply to the topic in general. Some people liked it (myself included, my G-d, too many hilarious idiotic quotes to think of), and some people didn't. People can think what they want about my following statement, but it will stand nevertheless: There is absolutely no need for putting anyone else down or insulting them for their views on anything, let alone movies. What's the big deal?? Come on already, don't you people have anything better to do than intentionally trying to vituperate (put down, offend) the critic, is it possible just to accept the opposition's opinion? Anyway, it's hard for me to explain why the movie was so funny to me. Yes, it was very idiotic, but it was to a point of being absolutely hilarious. On the contrary, I can see that it isn't as funny to other people, and that's fine.

-Hats off to those who can respect others' right to their opinions, and hopefully those who have a harder time of doing it can learn in time.

I'm sorry, but if you didn't like this movie because it was "dumb", then you are a retard. The entire purpose of the movie is to be dumb. As someone already said, it goes full circle and becomes funny by being as ridiculous as possible.
If you thought that it being "dumb" is the reason this movie was bad, then you are to idiotic to even understand the concept behind this supposedly "dumb" movie.
This movie rocked. I'm planning on seeing it again tonight.

I share your pain. Worst comedy movie ever. There'll be people that love it cause there will always be a love and hate crowd. Not everyone loves a film not everyone dislikes the film. I just say this is the worst movie I ever saw.

No moment pops up that is hilarious. It is either sad or just "okay, I've seen that before".

I think Kung Pow was great. It was a spoof and the intent was to poke fun at the incredibly poor job of editing dialogue into martial art flicks of the past. Perhaps some people didn't know what they were in for when they watched it, but if you check it out while keeping in mind that it is SUPPOSED to be ridiculous then I can't see how you wouldn't find it hilarious. Steve is brilliant. I haven't laughed so hard at a movie since Titannic.
Of course, one movie isn't going to please everybody. That's just a fact. This one really comes through for me though, and I'm glad to have it in the collection. Kung Pow does its job perfectly and I'd love to see a sequel. I mean c'mon, nun-chuk rodents? How do you top that?

This movie is pure genius. But i can see how alot of people wouldnt like it. You have to appreciate the likeness to bad chinese movies and that all the terrible editing and non-sensical plot points were done on purpose! Thats why its so funny! But hey sh*t, think what you want. I aint gonna try and convert ya.

pretty much the only reason i found this movie funny is because, no matter what it doesn't give in on jokes that wouldn't be funny in any other movie... this is the only movie i've seen that doesn't have a single serious moment, that alone leads to half of the humour... i guess you just have to be in the right mood to see it.
