This will be the last season I watch

It's been several years in a row that it's been inappropriately focused on oppression and racism. This week's episode has ruined the game forever, because there will forever be a shadow over any votes toward a black person. If the producers had any integrity, they would have countered this a little better. I'll finish this season with my wife, but that's it for me.

You're right. It's not really "survivor" anymore, and it's been pretty dull because of that.

The show definitely has been edited to promote certain agendas. Just like the "Hey Guys" from last season when everyone at first said they didn't have any problem with it and then someone backtracked, Probst and CBS are on a mission to make the show a platform for social injustice.

It's just a silly game - one that used to be very entertaining, but unfortunately has become a drag. Too bad.

reply

Yeah, that hey huys moment was so clearly forced.

Got even worse, did it? I stopped watching a few weeks ago. I haven't given up on it yet, but I'm not keeping up or caring about spoilers no more.

This week a black woman basically said that if she got voted out it was a racist choice.

reply

66 year-old white male here.

Considering how the first two jurors went the conversation in this tribal council (I JUST watched) was inevitable and to be honest had to happen and was discussed very well.

The problem is a complete la k of counter to the ridiculous assertion of racism. It's pretty obvious that someone could point out "hey, there are 2 blacks in the jury because they made it much farther in the game than many white people, who didn't even get that opportunity". It's a repeat over and over of the racial bullshit on survivor, and it's all for ratings. Sad really.

reply

No it wasn't discussed well at all. Basically both black women played their immunity cards just so another black person wouldn't be on the jury. They are the ones who played the race card and no one else.

reply

the offender was voted out finally.

reply

I'm sure she'll right a book about her racist experience

reply

haha no doubt. just wait til the end when the jurors are allowed to ask questions, its going to be woke city.

I stopped watching reality tv the moment Chris Harrison was fired as host of The Bachelor. At that moment cancel culture had gone too far and it bowed down to racist liberals who destroyed the show because it catered to a white audience.
