You would think, but maybe not. Or it could be that survivor had some footage but wont show it or possibly got rid of it so it can't be used against them for some kind of negligence.

I read an interview Jeff gave about it. He said transporting the contestants by boat to different locations can take a long while, isn't considered part of the show, and that essentially they are "in lockdown", and they don't film during those bits. I've read interviews before from the cast that they spend a lot time on the show just riding around in trucks to the different locations, they're never just hiking down the beach like it looks on the show.

I figured since it was transport, they weren't filming. It caught them off guard. In Africa they used to drive them around in trucks which were never filmed either.
