I Hate Dora the Explorer

I hate Dora the Explorer because it's just for children 8-. I'm twenty years old and I love cartoons, but being an adult I would never watch a childish educational cartoon like Dora the Explorer because that would be a very stupid thing to do. I guess it's good for children 8-, though.

The show is Okay on a few levels. Seemingly they play the same episode every week just on a different day. My 5 year old neice and 3 year old nephew, they learned nothing. They have been watching the show for years. Dora really does not teach kids things they already know. There is rarely any counting in the show. I prefer they watch Sesame Street. All in all, its okay for children, gets old when you have to watch them, watch TV.

The young kids love Dora. But, an adult relative of mine doesn't like Dora because it teaches Spanish. She's against having everyone (in the U.S.) accomodating to the Spanish language (such as: everywhere instructions are either written or heard in both English and Spanish... especially in California). Coming from an ethnicity where Spanish is not the language, her argument was "When my parents immigrated to America, we had to learn English... Why can't they (Spanish-speakers)?"

It wasn't meant to be racist/prejudice but simply a matter of equality amongst all nationalities. So I hope no one is offended, since it's just one opinion... especially one that coincides with this thread subject.

Dora is such a little skank.
She wears these Belly Shirts all the time.
And she spends a bit too much time with Boots.
And all the other animals she encounters.
