In real life,what's so far been the fastest speed you've driven in a car

Irrespective whether it was your own (current or previous) car or someone else's
(whether you were the one driving, or you were only a passenger doesn't matter),
what's so far been the fastest speed you've driven, without crashing and
harming anyone and/or also physically damaging the car. It doesn't matter if
it was on a road, or on a race track.

If it's miles, please covert it to a km figure as well and please elaborate on
what the serious or humorous circumstances of driving so fast far were.

1989, my 1986 Laser coming back from an OU game in Norman, OK. I was late for work and needed to be there by 6pm. Buried the needle but estimating 125-130. Cop clocked me at 118..LOL

Wow 118. That is super fast.

The fastest I ever went on the highway is 75. I may have pushed 80 on the I-10 going from Flordia to Georgia.

Fastest i have been in a road car is a colleagues Vauxhall Astra G Turbo Sri, as standard this car pumps out about 200PS ,now being a mechanics it hasn't stayed standard and has had mods taking power to 290ishPS at the wheel, on a trip one day we clocked it at 136MPH (218KM/H)Beautiful car! However the computer was stating the car was gulping fuel at the rate of about 5mpg!!

192 km/h in a 235BHP Cadillac CTS

Not the smartest to be perfectly honest, was trying to pass about 5 cars on a normal highway road.

back in 03 i was using my uncles 99 toyota solara to back n forth to work .I was on my way home on the highway .When this volkswagon bug pulled along side like they wanted to race .He was driving stick with his friends in the car and i just looked in his direction .I was in and automatic i turned back to look in front of me and i gunned it up to about 130 .It took about 10 minutes for those idiots in the bug to catch up to me.

270km/h(168 mph) on the meter then the speed/Engine limiter cut in, probably could do more. Mazda 3 MPS -07 not stock but not heavily modified either.

110MPH (177KMH) in a puny 1.2 litre Vauxhall Corsa, on a UK motorway.

I was going on holiday, and missed my turn off meaning a 20 mile detour down the motorway to the next exit. Drove fast to make up time. Also overtook some sort of McClaren super car.

On another note, I've also drove straight past a cop doing 100... thought I was gonna get done for sure.

In a 1970 1/2 Camero(yes 1/2, screw anyone else who says otherwise) tailing my brother in his 1978 Trans Am. He wanted to see how fast it would go.
