At what point did you know the twist? I sort of knew it from the synopsis of the film LOL.
But it was obvious from the beginning; old house, fogs everywhere, the way they revealed the children, locking the rooms all the time, keeping the light out, etc.
But apart from, the film was very well executed and I still enjoyed it very much even though i was waiting the whole film for them to reveal the twist.
I saw it in theaters upon release, hadn't read much about it at the time, and I honestly did not see the twist coming!
But then again, I tend to watch a movie in a very strange, almost childlike way -- I like NOT to figure things out as I go, and not to notice clues, but rather to allow the movie to take me on its journey and tell me something new when its ready, not when I jump the gun.
Then later I can re-watch more critically and admire the build of the deceit.
I remember expecting a different twist since probably the middle of the movie. My theory was quite interesting but... I do not remember what it was ))
shareI'm usually very good at guessing movie twists. I never saw this one coming. It was executed extremely well. This movie and The Sixth Sense had the best twists that I had no inkling of at all.
