Did she really want Jericho?

There's a point in the movie where Jason Statham hits on Natasha Henstridge and rather surprisingly she's like "okay", but before they get any further, they are interrupted.

So do you think she really wanted him, or was just joking...?

Looking back, I just find that scene a little weird and difficult to interpret. You would have expected her to say "in your dreams" or something along those lines based on how their characters were developed and the story up until that point. Obviously at the time you think she must be joking with Jericho, but her character was always very serious.

I wonder if it was done simply to give her a sexuality, since her relationship with Ice Cube was only platonic.

Not that I could blame Statham or Grier's characters for wanting her, but I felt kinda bad for her being hounded on both sides. Her lesbian superior officer makes an obvious pass for her. She says that she's straight. Jericho tries his luck.

Anyone else think that she and Desolation would have made a good one night stand? I couldn't see them lasting as a couple, being essentially polar opposites, but I think they'd be great for a one night stand or occasional hookup.

The only thing that bothered me was that she would even look at a cheesy Austin Powers wannabe, in any situation. Even the spare rookie looked better and acted better.
