Anyone else hate the ending?

I actually was enjoying this movie until the end. I thought it was just so unneeded and unnecessary for the plot. I guess they were trying to capture the emotions of the audience, didnt really work for me and actually kind of ruined the movie for me.

The
ending ruined the film for me. It felts forced, and doesn't help at all
the whole concept of "pay it forward".
It makes me feel nothing matters, like everything Trevor did was, in
fact, for worse.
Like the message were "don't botter, look the other side, don't be a
hero, watch your back and forget about everyone else". THAT'S the final
message.
So sad, it was a great film before the end, and the lead actors (Kevin
Spacey, Helen Hunt and the kid Haley Osment) were great.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native
language.

Yes, it was very unrealistic to have one of those kids murder him with a switchblade. It would have been more realistic if he had been punched, and then landed awkwardly on his head and died from brain hemorrhaging or something along those lines.
