Operation Barbarossa Prevented Stalin's Invasion Of Europe

A number of Russian historians have come to the conclusion that Stalin was preparing to invade Germany and Romania and with his Operation Barbarossa Hitler beat him to the punch. The code name for this invasion was Operatsiya Groza (Operation Thunderstorm). It is simply not true to say that the USSR was neutral until the German invasion. In 1939 the Soviet Union invaded Poland and Finland, in 1940 Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania and even after the soviet-nazi war started invaded Iran in 1941. I'm not sure that anyone thinks the Russians were neutral up until Barbarossa.

Rezun(fake name - Suvorov) is the same kind of "historian" as American "historians" who believe John F. Kennedy was working for Martians and that is why the CIA had him assassinated.

Rezun's conspiracy theories have no historical facts in them - his books were written as ANTI-SOVIET PROPAGANDA during the COLD WAR.

The claim that it was done by the communists was called "ANTI-SOVIET PROPAGANDA" as well by the government of the USSR. Viktor Suvorov (Rezun) was a member of soviet military intelligence so he knows what he is writing about. Besides there are a growing number of authors apart from him that have come to the same conclusion - that Stalin was getting ready to invade Germany and Romania. Igor Bunich, Mark Solonin, David Irving, John Mosier etc. Have you read Viktor Suvorov's book on the subject ? It is called The Chief Culprit - Stalin's Grand Design To Start World War II.
