Bamboozled, Malcolm X, and Do the Right Thing are a troika of the most important Spike Lee films.

Personally, I'd say "Do the Right Thing" is his most important. "Malcolm X" is probably his best. Aside from those two, I'd say "Jungle Fever" is my personal favorite.

Bamboozled, Malcolm X, School Daze & Do The Right Thing are my 4 movies from Spike!!

As for documentaries I'd go with- 4 Little Girls, A Huey P. Newton Story & When The Levees Broke.
