The Worst Film I've Ever Seen...

Writer/director Michael Davis is a hack. 100 Girls is the worst film I've ever seen. It's not the most awful film I've ever seen, but the psuedo-intelligent look at modern romance that this film purports to have is just insulting, and it's totally demeaning towards women -- oh, all those women we're assaulted, but it took a man to take a stand for them to come forward. Total pretentious crap writing.

Have a good day.

I take it you're in your 30's

Hey! I'm in my 30's and I loved this movie.

What are you ranting about. Watch Route 666 and then try and complain that this is the worst movie you have ever scene. I can tell you it is not. And when you go into with no expectations, it can be funny at times..

Don' try and out-think movies.

reply

It isn't the worst film I've ever seen, but it is one of the most insulting. I saw this film for the first time when I was 17. Even then, I was ashamed that people I knew and respected called it a thought provoking film. It is a stereotype reiterating underdeveloped pile of pseudo-intellectual teen drivel.

reply

I totally agree. It's one of those movies you can't help watching (because of the monologues that surprise you with both 'wow, a guy who appears to be a feminist! in a teen movie!' and [especially at the end of the movie] 'oh my god, ugh's), although it's bad. Even highly embarrassing 50% of the time. Not a movie I would encourage my film teacher to show in class for sure. And no, I'm not old:P I'll be 20 in a couple of weeks.
On a sidenote, I can't stand the main character's smile either, ew.

reply

Yeah, he doesn't even appear to be a feminist, he's just the lesser of three evils. He's just as misogynistic as the other two men in the movie, stereotyping and objectifying all the women he meets, he's just less blunt about it.

In fact, the only scene in the film that even had the potential to be enlightening was the face off between him and the abusive boyfriend, where he asks if bad guys know they're bad. The abusive boyfriend rightly calls out the protagonist for being a bad guy, but our authoritative narration glosses over it, and explains to us that the abuser is the REAL bad guy. I mean, he just completely violates the privacy and boundaries of 100 women on a daily basis, but he doesn't ABUSE them. He's honestly making all sexes out to be bad, acting like all we can expect as women is a guy is just manipulative and deceitful, but doesn't slap us around. We should be HAPPY about this and congratulate the "nice guys" of the world for being less bad than some other men.

We need a man to explain ourselves to us, fix our lives, fight our battles, and schmooze us with lies about how they'll completely change their personalities in order to be with us. That's the moral of the story. How are men watching this movie and not being just as offended as women? Oh right, because they're the ones who are exactly like the protagonist and fantasize about all women bowing down to their infinite wisdom based in stereotypes too. Such a horribly disgusting movie on so many levels. I'm more angry about this direct to video piece of trash than I have been at a film in a very long time.

Watch more films; your perspective will grow. Start with "Mona Lisa Smile" if you want to wallow in dreck.

"Love isn't brains, Children; it's blood."

reply

Did you watch it all the way through? Can't have been too bad, then (unless you're a masochist?).
I'll certainly watch it a second time when I can.

It's definitely somewhere in the top half (maybe even top third) of the thousands of movies I've watched over the years (at least partly; if I found them really bad, I simply switched channels or, as occasionally happened, left the cinema.)

reply

yo... it's a teen movie. ofcourse some people will be offended, but just try to look at it as a comedy and laugh :p. I actually wasn't paying attention when they were rambling on about feminism, I think this is how you should watch that kind of movie :D.

It was a good movie in his kind. Rob's one-liners were hilarious and patty was hot :p

reply

This wasn't a comedy!?

reply

Yes this is the worst *beep* i have ever seen! And the main character was *beep* annoying!

"No, I shot him. Bullets and the fall killed him!"

Vincent, Collateral

reply

that's wrong too. bullets and the landing killed him.

reply

Your "pseudo" spelling and grammar are more offensive to me than any crappy "teen" movie. I watch worse bile than this on any given sunday (dorky movie pun intended).

reply

I have to agree this was a great movie, and trust me there are many movies that are much worse.
