The attack happened Dec 7, 1941, at 7:55 AM. The sun rises in Honolulu at 6:55 AM on Dec 7. Dec 7 is near the winter solstice which means the sun had not been up very long, yet they showed the Japanese plane flying over an in-process baseball game. Did they always play that early on a Sunday morning in December?

maybe they had work at 08:00 so needed to start early to get a game in
Also , Hawaii being way south , the solstice wouldnt have the same effect it does in mainland US
