Doop de doo, still reminiscing about this show... I liked both actresses. I think Lindy Booth had brilliant comedy instincts. I didn't know that high voice wasn't her real voice until Gypsy Jigsaw (in season 2). I think that the character of Claudia really helped give that campy, comedic feel to the series, which I liked. She has since been on a series called "The Librarians," which I haven't seen, but might try out.

Tanja Reichert was also good; the series shifted to a more adventure, less comedy tone, in keeping with the higher jeapordy for the main characters in season 3, and I don't think Claudia's vibe would have made sense with that. Tanja's character, Karen, also brought a different way of looking at Sydney, more mature and down-to-earth than Claudia and less adoring than Nigel. She also had, I think, a really interesting energy with Nigel that contrasted with the way he interacted with Sydney. She was more supportive and encouraging, whereas I think Sydney (and, actually Claudia too) could be a bit contemptuous of Nigel at times. I think her best episode was "Women Want to Know," where she did a really nice job providing an understated strength that nudged Nigel to move the rescue operation forward, as well as giving a perspective on how Nigel appears through the eyes of someone other than Sydney. Unfortunately her subtle performance was drowned out by the annoyingness of the Trish Gardner character.
