the only thing i can remember from the movie that you might be confusing is when they're at the car wash and Missy walks up in front of Cliff while he's oogling torrence, and his sister walks up in her bikini and he goes 'AHHH' and she goes 'hey perve etc..' But that's not sexually teasing....that's sibling teasing. I know I'll do anything to get my brother to go 'AHH' in the same way the Cliff did. There really isn't much sexual teasing going on.....between brother and sister anyway. Between brother and sister's friend...definitely.

Well - he was daydreaming about a script that suffered the whloe way through - except for the hilarious first meeting with the choreographer scene.

That scene saved this movie from being totally horrible - as did the "whites steal from blacks" subtext by the playwright. It was refreshing, since it veered a little way off the re-beaten path by most/all high school movies since Breakfast Club. - cliquism.

That's ridicules there was no sexual teasing between the two of them. They are brother and sister and probably one or two years apart and they are close.

The parents were never cast in the film because they didn't need them at all. Just like they didn't cast any parents for the rest of the characters except for Torrance's.

As in the chemistry between Eliza and the guy that played her brother, well that's aside from the writing of the story. They did had good chemistry and there was reported flirty behind the scenes between the two of them. But that doesn't mean the writers of the film were writing that into the film to create some controversy.
