Moulin Rouge was Australian writer-director Baz Luhrmann’s third and arguably most successful movie. It completed what has come to be known as Luhrmann’s Red Curtain trilogy. Since the phenomenal success of Moulin Rouge, Luhrmann has only directed two other movies. He’s kept busy in other endeavors such as theater and television.
