5.8 is B.S.

Surley this movie deserves a better rating, flawed or not! I just picked up the DVD after renting it 4 times and I have to say it gets better every time! Awesome original songs for a period film and good acting to boot, even if Jennifer Aniston seems a little out of place. 8/10

Yes! I thought I'd hate this movie when I first watched it but it has turned into one of my all time favorites. Messing around on Amazon today I saw that the soundtrack was in the $5 bin for download and I ended up getting that and the movie.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I think if you're born outside of a certain generation (maybe born between 1960 and 1975) there is a lot that can be lost in this movie. I distinctly remember the end of the rock star/big hair era and the excess associated with it. Chris lived it out holding on to the memory of fading rock legends, disillusioned by the truth about his idol and the rock lifestyle, and eventually coming out on the other side of the beginning of the "grunge" era. This movie is just about perfect in capturing its subject matter.

And I agree, Jennifer Aniston is somewhat out of place in this movie. It almost seemed like she was inserted into the movie using some kind of special effect. However, I think she was brought on for name recognition to give the film some legitimacy even if it didn't end up being the right call.

9/10

I agree on the 9/10. I love this movie and its one of my all time favs too! I love 80's big hair music! I think that Jennifer Aniston was very good in this movie. It was the right call and she was great. Anything she is in is great! And she is absolutely beautiful; just a perfect human being.

Over time it has climbed to 6.2

I liked it, it was watchable, but had so much promise....it's probably right about where it should be.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
