Anyone sees the resemblance to Ripper of Judas Priest here?

This movie is all about the same story of Tim "Ripper" Owens of Judas Priest?It's all familiar.Or am i mistaken?:)

Loosely based on Owens. I think Owens was the frontman for a Judas Priest tribute band, but not obsessed like Chris Cole to Bobby Beers. And Bobby leaving the band for being gay was a spoof of Rob Halford who is gay. In actuality, Halford just wanted to try a solo career.
