Are there any episodes you skip?

I know it's sad but my husband and l have watched the series through at least ten times and there are a few episodes I like to skip. I was wondering if anyone else is the same. I dong know episode numbers but I skip:

- The one that explains the back story with Toby's dad.

- The 9/11 'special'

- The one where CJ goes home for a school reunion and visits her dad

- The one which is a series of interviews; a day in the life of a White House press secretary.

And I would happily skip the following if my husband would agree:

- The one where Sam finds out his dad is a cheater

- The one where the North Korean pianist asks to defect.

I have to say I don't like the 'international incident' episodes. I think the domestic politics stuff is much better and smarter.

I watch them over and over, right up to the moment when Sam Seaborn leaves. The show was rapidly decaying after that. No more witty repartee; no amazing insight; no more tension and decision making. Just rapid decay. We lose Leo, and suddenly an excellent press secretary becomes a boring chief of staff. Josh suddenly has no integrity, whether it be slugging Toby or banging his secretary. Yep. There were a few good ones in the final seasons, but Sorkin is gone, and finding the good episodes is a lot like picking good meat out of a cheap order of ribs. It is possible, just very time-consuming. I usually start over right after Sam leaves.

I don't skip any episodes.

The one with CJ's dad was tedious, though I watched all of it. Half way through Access (Season Five) now, and seriously considering ditching it.

Season 5 through to 7. Honestly, the worst ep from 1-4 is, imo, better than than the best of season 5-7. Alan Alda was the only good thing in the later eps. Whenever I start a rematch , I always say to myself "Im going to watch everything", and then, I start season 5, and give up.
Richard Schiff has never even seen any of the eps after Sorkin left. He hates it as well. I was so glad when I heard him say that!

I really hated what the writers did to Toby after Sorkin left. Turning him into a traitor was so wrong. He always acted out of compassion, and to criminalize him was horrible.

And I hated Amy too. She was a Mandy reboot, which was just annoying.

All the world is a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.

I skip a lot of Season 5, including "Han", but many others. I skip "The Long Goodbye", I skip "90 Miles Away", I skip "Message of the Week" and I skip "The Debate".

I'm very surprised to hear anyone would skip "Holy Night" - even if you don't like the bits about Toby's dad, that's a relatively small part of the episode. There's a lot in there, Jed and Leo dealing with their guilt over Shareef, the returns of both Danny and Zoey to the show, some Josh and Donna stuff.

"Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail" is Sam's best episode, too, why would you want to skip that?

I started skipping in the second season. After S2E19 I really started to skip around. The writing starts to drag out. I also get bored easily when the discussions are about petty subjects. I really like it when Martin Sheen digs in and has deep discussions with the staff in the Oval Office. That's the good stuff.

I love the 9 11 special.

I just skipped the special that was abut real people who worked at the real white house. I don't hate it but it adds nothing.

Skip season 5-7...once Zoey got kidnapped I stopped watching it. Tried to get back at it, but around that time I discovered The Sopranos and was never able to go back to regular network shows.
