White man playing Jesus?, not historically acurrate

I can't believe they allow caucasions to play Jesus. Jesus did not have long blonde hair or blue eyes. On Revelations 1:14 he had hair like wool and feet the color of brass. If you take brass you're not going to get white, you're going to get BLACK. Hair like wool, If you touch a sheep's coat and I touch my afro it feels similar, Nappy. Jesus was a BLACK MAN. Why would people lie to us about this non Jesus? Jesus was a black man! Here's a video from a friend of mine that answers my point www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dhw1rXfc-7A

Haaaah... this whole discussion is so ridiculous... not because "race doesn't matter, it is the miracle that counts" (I think religion is *beep* but because people are somehow trying to apply genetics to the whole concept of Jesus... I mean, he was supposedly the son of god, right? So, his mom was a Levite, or whatever... and his dad is, well, god... How can you apply any kind of genetics rule to INFER what race he belonged to?? Holy *beep* If god was his father, and if you try to think about it 'scientifically', then he might as well have had blue hair, purple eyes, and green skin, having 'inherited' this from his daddy. Right?

Especially the religious ones here trying to somehow motivate what he looks like just cracked me up... Wake up, people! You think "god" was his father, and you are somehow trying to apply science (genetics) to figure out what he looked like based on... what race his mommy belonged to??

X))))

The majority of people on this thread are SOOOO stupid and plainly offensive.

"When we make mistakes, it's evil. When God makes mistakes, it's nature."

You are misinterpreting the verse. Revelation 1:14 describes Our Lord in His glorified form, how we will all see Him on the Last Day. The New Testament does not say what He looked like in His human form. However, if one wishes to know what the ancient Hebrews looked like, look at modern Israelis today. Those who say that Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and any other Biblical figure you wish to name are not white-skinned Europeans are dead on. But they were not Negroids either. They were Middle Eastern, with olive-colored skin and most likely, black or dark brown hair.

Well, if it really was historically accurate, the character Jesus wouldn't exist...

Why didnt they make the movie in the original languages? Maybe they wanted the people watching the movie to be able to identify with the story and the character and the significance of the story. Why do some people have to try to ruin everything good thing with critical comments?

reply

Jesus and god don't exist so it's kind of a moot discussion.

It's amazing how utterly deluded normally intelligent people become when religion is brought into the mix.
When you consider the achievements of Mankind through the ages, particularly in the last couple of hundred years, it's tragically laughable that people are still holding onto this nonsense.
I stand by what I've always said - religion, in any form, is the scourge of Mankind, and is for weak minded people. People looking for answers they don't even know the fuking questions for.

Your understanding of the scriptures is inaccurate. It is not Revelations. It is Revelation. To me the rest of your comment
is irrelevant.

There is no physical description of Jesus in the gospels.
