Beyond awful.

I have tried to watch this film 3 times. I though maybe I was not in the right mood to enjoy it. All that happens is that it seems to get worse each time. The only vaguely amusing thing about it is that they managed to get a lot of cameo appearances shoehorned into it. That does not make it worth watching.
How this rubbish got commissioned and then made is staggering. It is a sad indictment of what passes for quality entertainment these days. It has no wit, real humour or any kind of cool to it at all.
God knows what the second in the series is like, but I hold out no hope for anything worth watching. I keep hoping that maybe the cinema-going public will show what rubbish it is by staying at home.

I agree.

I had never seen this movie - But saw zoolander2 at Redbox and they had this first one.
What a waste of $1.62 per movie.

The one and only funny thing in the whole movie was some of Will Ferrells facial expressions.

After watchin' the first one, why did I assume the second one would get better? I should'a realized the 2 meant it was
twice as bad.

. . . spent $3.22 too much for these cheezy flicks.

Yeah it's pretty bad. If you like Farrell/Stiller/Wilson movies I guess this is for you. If they annoy the piss outta you, avoid it.

Meh, if you've worked in the fashion industry as I have, this film has some hilarious scenes mocking the pretentiousness of that whole world. I loved Zoolander. Different strokes I guess.

Everyone just fits so well. Zoolander is undoubtably a dumb, low IQ idiot.

but it rarely feels like they just went for the cheap low hanging "Zoolander did da dumb thing so its funny right?" Which isnt really funny at all.

instead we got actual laughs and comedy like

"i think i got the black lung pa"

"merman!!!"

and "I thought you were gonna tell me what a bad "eugoogolizer" I am."

The tiny cough before the black lung comment is so damn funny. The gas fight makes me laugh out loud every time.

i dont know how to really explain it, since the jokes are based off Zoolanders stupidity, but not "haha he is dumb" thats not the joke.

i think its the absurdity+the dumbness. like you said the cough,+ thinking he has the black lung after being down in the mines for a day.

It's a real shame that we don't see such dumb and creative movies today. The quirky characters and the overall atmosphere of absurdity that envelops the film make it unforgettable for me. It's no coincidence that many quotes from the film are memorable.
