Diversity

Not many black people in Spaced is there?

reply

MAKES SENSE...SIMON PEGG HATES NON WHITES...ITS WELL KNOWN🙂

reply

You might be onto something.

Shaun of the Dead was about a group of white people trying to survive while London is taken over by mindless, flesh hungry monsters. No doubt this could be some kind of racist allegory for what's been happening to London with it's rapidly growing Muslim population.

reply

Thats a bit of a stretch isnt it?

You will see racism absolutely everywhere at every turn if you are as imaginative as you seem to be at detecting it.

reply

It was tongue in cheek.

Poe's law strikes again! LOL.

reply

aha ic
👍

reply

I didnt know that. got any proof?
He had black co star in "run fat boy run"

reply

There's virtually no diversity in any British sitcoms.

Certainly no leads, and going beyond Moss in IT Crowd and Johnson in Peep Show, I can't really think of any.

Pretty shocking.

reply

There's a show, or was, not sure if they still are doing it, about a black, female detective in the Victorian era. Year of the Rabbit.

reply

Hey, that completely passed me by - any good?

Matt Berry doing Matt Berry again though I bet...

reply

yeah, so shocking to see media reflecting the actual country's population rather than shoehorning in diversity hires to appease the SJW crowd

reply

Wasnt there something on BBC3 about a time travelling , er , was it a jazz band or something?
All black cast.
Then there's "People just do nothing"
Also the Black bartender in "zapped" - same guy who was in other bbc sitcom you may have heard of "only fools and horses"
see also "The lenny henry show"
..and The thin blue line.

reply

reply

Looks like Pegg did absolutely nothing to help diversity in TV when he created the show with his friends but feels like he is in some position to criticise people who have an issue with the political activist group BLM.
Did he not know black people existed in the 90s or is he just another virtue signalling luvvie?

reply

If a white person creates, writes and produces a show through his imagination.
Why should they be forced to add a person of color?

When you add people just for the color of their skin you lose quality.

In the u.s. it's called affirmative action.

Colleges, jobs, police have to decline more intelligent peopl to add diversity.

So now they are picking people solely on skin color . No skill required

reply

Can't really say I disagree with you, forced diversity is usually a detriment.
I also think it's perfectly acceptable to criticise a Marxist political movement even if they use sneaky linguistics as a shield from it. If Pegg thinks he can defend BLM from criticism he should take his own advice and stfu
