Anyone Ever Finish This Fucking Game?
Anyone ever manage to beat Mike Tyson or his White palette swap in the updated (1990) version?

shareI got up to Mike Tyson. He hit me once and I went down. I got up, he hit me again, I went down. I got up, he hit me for a third time, I was down for the ten count.
Here's a video on Youtube of someone beating the entire game.

I did...many times. It was a matter of surviving the uppercut onslaught in Round 1.
shareCorrect. Once you get the timing, it's easy every time.
shareOnce you learned the pattern of these fighters, it wasn't a problem. I can't recall if I ever beat Tyson in the first round, but I know for sure I used to beat him regularly early in the second.
shareI'm not sure about the first round, especially since you really on his move to actually be able to punch him. It might not even be possible, but now I need to find a video.
shareYes. I made it through the whole game, but mind you, it wasn't easy beating Mike, but after playing it so much and learning his moves, I was able to finally beat him
shareMy gf's sister had a Nintendo, and this game. It took me a few weeks of playing almost daily, but I eventually could knock out Mike Tyson. It helped that my best games in the arcades a few years before that had been Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out. I set the high score for both games on every machine I encountered, so I think that gave me a head start on the NES version of the game.
shareI never actually owned the game during the Nintendo era, so the best I could do borrowing or playing a friends game was to get to Mr. Sandman. As an adult I didn’t eventually get this crossed off of the list.
shareMany times. I had the "Punch Out" version with Mr. Dream instead of Tyson but my understanding is that it was merely a reskin.
