What if Vince McMahon started an MMA promotion?
If Vince McMahon started an MMA promotion do you think it would be a success or would it be a failure?

shareVince starting a MMA thing should be a success as MMA is kind of really huge right now. :)
Drake is repetitive. He just raps the same thing over and over as if he is in an insane asylum!LOL:D
Football has always been huge (for some reason), but look what happened with the XFL.
Bill Gates was here 👉 X
I don't think Vince understands the concept of MMA. Knowing his record, he'd hire body builders and try to train them which would result in epic train wreck matches. He'd relegate the woman's division to nothing more than T & A which would be a shame considering that the woman are sometimes more vicious than the men. Cruiser weights or lightweights? Forget about it.
Nearly anything he tries outside of wrestling has failed. XFL, WBF and even to a minor extent, WWE Films which is now seemingly only involved in distribution rather than hands on film making.
I've said it before, I'm not sure how much of a genius he is as opposed to somebody that has managed to surround himself by talented people. He shot down the Rimble idea numerous times until Dick Ebersol needed something, The Attitude Era would never have happened unless Triple H and Shawn Michaels had been pushing for it.
By all means, he literally doesn't seem to have his finger on the pulse of anything else other than wrestling and even that he's managed to twist into his fantasy.
I think it would look a lot like Bellator.
shareBellator might have freakshow fights, but Coker is built for MMA. Vince isn't...
I don't think Vince has an understanding of what it takes to build a star around a promotion these days. IF started MMA promotion, Shane would have run it and I still don't think it would be successful.
People would probably accuse him of copying UFC since the UFC already feels like a real-life version of WWE in some ways.
And it would flop, too. Vince has the Midas Touch when it comes to WWE and pro wrestling/sports-entertainment, not so much with other outside ventures.
Vince had the chance to buy UFC in the late 90's or early 2000's, and passed on it for a very cheap price.
Now there's no reason for him to try and compete with them, as it would be futile.
Vince McMahon and Dana White work together on occasion so I can't see Vince impeding on MMA. He doesn't have the new UFC owners' capital.
shareI was at the very first WBF contest in Atlantic City and I got to meet ultimate warrior( monster), savage, Marty jannety, and a few of the bodybuilders. There was only about 12? Contestants. So after a few more contest it went belly up. So yeah Vince needs to stick with what he knows best
It could be a success only if Vince had nothing to do with it other than having his name on it. If he's hands-on, it would be a failure just like WBF and XFL.
