Despite the sense of unease I feel every time I walk in, I think I like the Shadow Temple the best because it actually has a backstory: all of Hyrule's "history of greed and blood" is stored within its walls. It's too bad we don't ever find out more about it (or Bongo Bongo), but no matter. Plotwise, it's the most intriguing temple of the five.

I'm surprised so many picked the Water Temple. That is imo the most pain in the ass temple with the hardest boss. Or at least the most annoying. I agree that the atmosphere of the Water Temple is cool. The reflections of the water and all, but I can't beat that one with out a walk through.
My favorite, which seems to be the most popular is the Spirit Temple. Its the Egyptian feel that I like about it. Plus you get to go there as a kid as well. I also like how its hidden in the desert far away from everything else.
Religious Views:
None. But if I stand on my roof I can see a church.

shareYou just have to love the Spirit Temple. The atmosphere, the visuals, the music, the concept, everything about it is excellent. It's just about my favorite dungeon/temple in the series, second only to Stone Tower Temple from Majora's Mask.
shareThe Forest Temple was so crazy and classical, with all the ivy and moss in the walls that made it look all greenish, no other temple had such a beautiful fairy-tailesque look than that. If I could get rid of the ghosts and monsters I would have liked to live in the Forest Temple.

The music, the atmosphere, the plot, everything.
The forest temple did indeed look like a piece of art, as other posted have previously noted. I loved the green atmosphere. I could've done without the Wallmasters though (they creeped me out).
The fire temple had a great soundtrack and I liked the red feel. I didn't like the fake doors.
The water temple is easily the most challenging and thus you feel more accomplished when you finish it above all the others.
The shadow temple is so creepy, it keeps you on your toes.
The spirit temple takes probably the longest time because you have to obtain the membership into the Gerudo tribe, get through the desert, go back as a child, and then finish as an adult. And all of it is enjoyable

To look at but not play:
Water. it's a stupid, Stupid temple. LOL. not really, but damn I'm pretty sure I broke a controller over that temple once or twice >.< but it;s just so pretty. and pretty gets a vote.
I personally enjoy the Spirit and Fire Temples.
