Terminator 3 vs Salvation
The fact that this movie has a lower rating than Terminator Salvation is ridiculous. Of course, that's just my opinion.

shareBoth are pretty bad. But if I had to pick a favorite.., it'd be salvation. The only reason 3 might be favorable to some is because Arnold is in it
shareActually, Arnold is, in my opinion, a liability to the franchise (story-wise, not financially). I wish they never used him in any of the films except the first one. I liked and disliked a lot of things about all the sequels.

I have to disagree with you for America that might be the case but being from Trinidad and Tobago, Arnold in the trailer caused squeals of excitement that T4 didn't in fact the cinema was pretty empty for that movie while everyone seems to be talking about going to see this new one. In general movies with Arnold, Tom cruise, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and even Sly and Jason Statham draw in big crowds where I'm from.
shareThat's why I included the caveat, "story-wise, not financially" because I'm well aware of the financial benefits and box-office draw of a big name like Schwarzenegger. Just that story-wise, the need to include a "Schwarzenegger-looking" terminator was a liability in that it locked them into anthropomorphizing a terminator which was in conflict with the overall theme that warned us of putting our fates in the hands of machines.

Oh yes I missed the part where you said not financially I was reading from my phone. I'm hoping so much that this one will be good or at least decent as I really disliked the last one but that was mainly because of Christian Bale who just rubbed me the wrong way in the movie (I love him in the dark knight trilogy though).
shareHey did you see the new movie? How did you like it? I thought Arnold was fantastic and one of the best parts of the movie.
shareArnold is the reason why the Terminator series was so popular and well praised because without him it'd go unnoticed. I love T1 + T2, T3 is meh, T4 even worse and T5 is just god awful.
Even with Arnold in T5 he still couldn't save that pile of Schitt from being a disaster.
Terminator 3. Don't like Salvation and it leaves a very bad aftertaste.

Prefer Salvation (mostly because it focused on the war aspect and didn't retread the same territory of the first three), but that's not to say I didn't like T3, because I actually did. Its got flaws sure, but imo its still a pretty solid action flick, and honestly the ending is one of the best I've seen in a sci-fi film.

I blame the director. Christian Bale should have been great. He's been awesome in most films where he's appeared. And he's just SO terrible in Terminator Salvation, it must be because he was instructed to play the role like that.

I have to prefer Salvation just for moving the story forward a bit, but it really is a choice between a douche and a turd-sandwich.
shareSalvation didn't have any story at all. Terminator Salvation actually had more of a story really. What's the idea of Salvation? Connor calls off a strike against Skynet because he thinks Kyle Reece might die and that might cause him to cease to exist - or something? It's never really clear what Connor thinks. I mean, why not presume that Kyle Reece MUST survive? And heck, why presume that if Kyle Reece dies anything would change about himself? And if this was the point of the film, why are these issues never discussed? And why was there a terminator with a human heart?
The idea of having previous simpler versions of the Terminator designed before the war even begins, the idea of John being safely secured in a bomb shelter, the idea of a Terminator who is programmed with human psychology. And all these ideas are given a proper consideration rather than the short shrift given to any kind of ideas that are vaguely referenced in Terminator Salvation.
I prefer Salvation i enjoyed T3 so much but there were so many dumb scenes with Schwarzenegger and to many comedy and the T-X was not a good Terminator at less Salvation was a serious movie and i liked it becouse it was in the future war even tough it wasn't like the future flashback from the first two films and wasn't good like the James Cameron films but is my opinion.
shareThe Terminators were all bad in Terminator Salvation. John Connor destroys one by shooting it in the head - with bullets! Bullets bounce off Terminators don't they? Okay so perhaps it's an earlier version, but it was difficult to understand why we should be scared of robots that are easily taken down by bullets.
shareT3 by a mile. The terminator actually kills someone in this movie. In T4 it just tosses Conner away all the time. The dumbest part being when it disarms Conner, throws him away, and then throws the gun away(!!!!!????). Yeah....that is one effective killing machine. Throwing weapons away.
Salvation is arguably the dumbest movie ever written. And that isn't that surprising, given that it was written by the people who wrote Catwoman.
it's christin bale's fault, he made them change the original script which seems to be good.
i mostly will not be able to answer your reply, since marissa mayer hacked my email, no notification

Yes! That is exactly why I has not ended watching salvation...
Super killer machine grabs his primary target by neck, and throw it away...
