Who do you think is creepier?

I'm going with Sadako and I'm not just going for her because I hate the American remake.

I'm going for her because Sadako has this creepy presence around her. The way she just climbs out of well and out of TV is just so damn scary. When she came out of the TV I was backing away from my OWN TV! lol true story. Sadako doesn't have to do much to scare the crap out of you!

Samara? Well she's just a little girl and there's nothing scary about a little girl with long hair is there?

I have to admit, when I was watching the US version and they showed the famous television scene, i found that pretty scary. But i thought that was the only scary bit in the US version. I thought the rest of it was plain crap.

Here is what my 10-year-old cousin Diana says after seeing Sadako and Samara kill:

Sadako looked like she was blind, because her eye color was grey/white. Samara is scarier, because her face was like in "Scary Movie 3," except her eyes. Her eyes looked scary with her face.

Sadako. She has this creepy presence about her. I love the way she walks, how she shift one shoulder with each step and changes to the other. I thought that was done brilliantly.

Some people count sheep. Doesn't work with AlwaysCool, just gets him excited.

I could never find samara scary because 1) she's just some average american teenage girl and 2) we see far too much of her, leaving no room to the imagination (a common theme in american remakes). Sadako just seems really alien, and also visually mysterious. You're not sure how old she is, what she looks like or anything.

Also, I'm reading the comments of people who prefer samara, and a common theme is that they find her cuteness scary. I think most people are the opposite, it makes her seem more fallible, more like another generic-hollywood-scary-kid. I find that sort of thing (sixth sense etc) really not scary at all.

I love Samara for a lot of reasons, but I will be the first to admit being ABSOLUTELY traumatized by Sadako's emerging from the TV. She's perhaps the scariest character in the history of scary characters.

Sadako. The TV scene is so much scarier in the Japanese version. I don't think I've ever been caught that flat-footed by a movie before. Awesome!
