Which cast member(s) was best?
Which ones out of series 1 & 2 had the best cast members?
for me it has to be Simon Pegg followed by Kevin Eldon

Catherine Tate is the only one I don't like, but that might be tainted by the fact she has her own over-hyped sketch show now.
Eldon or Heap

I just finished re-watching my DVDS, I have to say I can't make up my mind... Maybe Simon? Kevin? Mark? I don't know...
sharesimon and kevin
didn't see too much of the female cast, but miss.davis impresses with everything she gets involved in
I think Mark Heap is amazing in this serious. Ming the merciless, The Tin Man, 'Is that a reference to me not being married?' There's not a sketch of his I can think of that I don't love!!

SIMON PEGG

Not being sexist but quite simply the men are hilarious and the women are not.
sharewell since im a comedian and i am a woman i take offence to that, BUT, you have a very good point........

I don't know, I think the female line up in series one was better than series two, though. Amelia Bullmore was fantastic, and although she didn't have much to do, Julia Davies was a legend.

it does *beep* me though that most of the female comedians are shunned because of the conception that males are better

IMHO Mark Heap was the best. Same can be said of Spaced.

I love Julia Davis and Rebecca Front, and really the whole cast is super, but - hands down, the VERY best has to be Kevin Eldon. He can do simply ANYthing with his face, and the way he can zoom from one *believeable* emotional extreme to another is astounding, it reminds me of David Cross in "Mr. Show." He's great in Nighty Night too!

OMG - did a bit of imdb research & realized that Kevin Eldon is also Fanny on "Knowing Me, Knowing Yule" and the laughing guest on the last episode of S1 of "I'm Alan Partridge".
This guy is AMAZING!

it funny when people from big train just pop up in wierd places
like i was watching casanova with david tennant
and mark heap was in it for like 30 seconds and i was just like
wait a minute!
"is it true that there is a place in a mans head that if you shoot it, it will blow up?" HOT FUZZ
I know what you mean - I just saw Rik Mayall's "Mavis Davis" (what a disappointment!!) and, out
of the blue, there was Mark Heap! Hooray!
Kevin Eldon keeps popping up, and he's brilliant each time.
Amelia Bullmore - I first saw her as Alan Partridge's girlfriend! She is terrific and SO versatile.
Julia Davis seems just about endless, it was great to see her (with Mark and Amelia) in Chris
Morris's "Jam".

its always a pleasant suprise though

Kevin Eldon is ALWAYS fantastic.
"I got the sack. I'm saaaacked".
i just re watched the first season, bloody brilliant, but i have to say i dont find the staring competitions very interesting and that was the central theme to the whole show

Mark Heap is my favorite followed by Simon Pegg.
Si Vales, Valeo.

I agree. Simon Pegg and Kevin Eldon. They're definitely the most fun to watch. I was just thinking, too, how it's too bad Kevin and Mark Heap aren't as well-known or popular as Simon Pegg. They're all three really talented and funny guys.
It's sad, though, because the women don't have as much to do, so I can't really judge fairly based on their performances. I like the three men on the show, though.
