Rewatching this gem and I was so thrilled when I realized that Alan Rickman played Marvin in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

My goodness! the man could act. In 1 instant, he turned his lampooned character and his catch-phrase, “By Graptar’s hammer” from being a laugh stock into a complete believable hero. I don’t know how many others could have done that. Bravo. We miss you, Alan.
