If you were as dissapointed as I was on how the first season ended with no second series to follow, leave a post here!! the fans say: MAKE ANOTHER SEASON!!!!!!!!
I know it's probably impossible but its worth trying.
I deffenetly rekon they should make a second season but they shouldnt base it around kung loa they should base it around lu kang and they should stay in the mk conquest and follow lu kang through it none of this waiting for the mk but actually in the mk wheater it be about kung loa or if it's about lu kang
Well basically they have a few unfinished stories they need to put closure on. *smoke going after sub zero *shung tsung's master being released * Taja's father in outworld *siro and taja's romance * Of course, bringing everybody back from the dead after the season finale. *and heaps more i can't think of right now.
I not only would like to see a second series of this, but a nice release on DVD for the first series as well! (Or did I miss out on that??? I hope not!)
And if that's not possible make a TWO HOUR SEASON FINALE for the DVD release... Anyway if it eventually happens they will have to kill Taja because Kristanna Loken's career has moved on and she probably won't do tv.
Another series wouldn't be bad but it would have to be with different actors/characters. The original wasn't bad but the storylines were lame. A lot of good ideas that weren't well executed or explained. The fights were excellent though and gave Bernhardt (Matrix Reloaded) and especially Lokken (T-3, BloodRayne) a nice boost to their current fame. In this climate of Ultimate Fighting competitions, it would be a nice comeback. But I doubt it will happen. If the first series didn't do well, why would another? MKC1 wasn't cheap. It had top-notch fight choreography and spfx. Obviously they'd have to upgrade all of that and it would cost $$$$$. Would they really want to take an expensive chance on a series that didn't perform well the first time around? This aint Star Trek.
Actually, MKC did perform well the first time around. In fact, it performed better than any of the producers expected it to. When time came to renew the series for a second season, the studios involved could not reach an agreement on distribution costs. Since the show was so much more successful than anyone had anticipated, everyone wanted a bigger piece of the pie for season 2. Ultimately, negotiations failed and led to the show being cancelled altogether. So it was not low ratings that led to the show's end.
Also, there was another MK tv series in the works back in 2001. It was called MK Federation of Martial Arts. As I understand it, it was supposed to be very similar to the show WMAC Masters. However, just like the MK3 movie, nothing ever materialized.

John Tobias quit Midway in 2000, during the production of the videogame, MK Special Forces. That was 2 years after the show was on. Also, Midway and the MK videogames team has absolutely nothing to do with the movies and show (except that Tobias did help develop the story for MK Annihilation). Even if he had left Midway while the show was in production, it would not have affected the show or any future movies/shows in any way.

I love this show, and i am a huge fan of the entire world, of Mortal Kombat, The last episode of the first season was kick ass, great fight great final battle, but i wish they had continued it,
MAKE A SECOND SEASON!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!
and does anyone know of a dvd realease in the us, or if anyone has any copies for sale, or on ebay. please contact me.
Word. This show rocks. I agree that at the very least we should be treated to a direct-to-dvd movie that offers some closure.
I would really kill for a new Mortal Kombat televsion show or cartoon (not to mention the obvious movie... sigh). I hope that if MK 3 ever gets made that it'll be a success and jump start more television-related projects again.
